didnt want to put up yet another thread as im not sure if it would be flooding, this is kind of offtopic but im asking in here as im after something local or something youve all had experience with.
Im after a Gaming computer, not only for games but to use photoshop maya and a few other programmes as i want to start getting involved in films/animation anyone got any good ideas where ic an look for a comptuer? Budget is 700 max i spose but i need a mint graphics card to handle the software, 700 is alot imo and i think that should get me a real nice 1? Any reviews on any guys? and i dnt want a laptop (Hate them as i cant use them :D)

I built myself a machine for around that :

I7 920 Quad Core processor
4 gb of ram
1tb hard drive
dvd writer
ATI Radion 8590 graphic card
Decent mother board
Decent power supply

My mate spec'd it and i'm really pleased with it. Put it together about 3-4 months ago too so you could probably build a better machine for that kinda money now.

I use mine for CAD but the requirements are pretty much the same hardware wise.

Ye i got a few people who can build 1 but they keep telling me to buy 1 from pcworld as its cheap... personally dont see the value for money they all have 1 good thing and the rest mediocre and they are over-priced imo hmmm i used to know so much about computer stats, now i havnt got a clue i mean what should i look for? Should i just go for a similar spec?
