View Full Version : forum token expired?
Hi all, this has been happening since may, my laptop is running vista and when i sign in sometimes on here it appears that i havent signed in, so when i try to do it again, it turns out Im already signed in, then i try a search for my previous posts and i get this message:
"Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired.
Please push the back button and reload the previous window."
so i have to manually search out my previous posts.
it doesnt happen on my normal computer or work computer, and i use driftworks wich works fine on my laptop?

What browser?? if its that shit box IE crap then change to something else..
It's apparently a VBB issue, not a browser issue. A google search comes up with LOADS of results!! Try clearing cookies and checking the box for "remember me" when you log back in.
Oh and someone else was getting the issue when their system clock was slow!!
When you sign in, the forum sends you a cookie so it can remember who you are. The cookie expires after a while of inactivity, so you don't wonder off and leave yourself logged in.
So that means if you load up a whole bunch of pages, do something for a bit, and then come back the cookie (and login) may have expired and you get this error. As already mentioned, the way around it is to tell the forum you want to be remembered for all time by selecting "remember me" when you put in your username and password.
Of course that means that people can just walk up to it and post pretending to be you ;)
I usually sign in and straight away I do a search for my username straight away and I get that message only on my laptop nothin else, also I checked the remember me box and it still says that message when I search

Empty your webcache and if that doesnt fix it, then change to some other browser.
