I recently downloaded a SID player to listen back to some theme tunes from old C64 games. I found that there's actually a community of people out there making new music using old Commodore 64s, Gameboys, NES and even Atari 2600s.
I must admit, I'm quite getting into it! Due to the limitations of the hardware, the musicians have to rely on their talent to write and arrange catchy songs, there's some total genius stuff out there The best thing is, it's usually free to download :D
Anyone else into it? (I admit, it's proper geeky).
No idea what I'm on about? Recommended listening :
she - Pioneer EP (http://www.shemusic.org/she-pioneer.zip) - Check out the opening track "Nebula"
Minusbaby - Left (http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography/zip/8BP101)
8BitBetty - Too Bleep To Bloop (http://www.archive.org/details/hc152_too_bleep_to_blop_by_8_bit_betty)
Apologies of this is the wrong place, not sure where to post things in the new structure... :S
