My mate has lent me his PS3 just to borrow for a few months. He's been running it on a HD tv without any problems. I've just plugged it into my TV (non-HD, just a normal jobbie) and nothing. I just cant get a picture. Its a white PS3 btw, not sure if that makes any difference? Rang him to say i couldn't get it to work and he said that he also has that problem when trying to hook it up to a normal tv

Is there some other kind of cable i might need to buy for it? I'm a retard when it comes to computery things so be gentle with me... please :)

Thanks in advance.

Switch it off so the power light is red, then press and hold the power button untill it beeps, then wait it will change the video settings to the default (4:3 for a scart lead)

YOU NEED A CABLE THAT EITHER HAS A SCART LEAD CONNECTION OR 3 PHONO (RED WHITE YELLOW)

Turn it on and hold down the power button to reset the video settings to default.

Hold the reset button down for 30 or so seconds and it then sets onto that tv i think.
it normaly happens to me when i switch it to the bedroom which is a 720p tv and the one in the lounge which is 1080p.
