View Full Version : Techy Computer Question
Am writing a batch file that prompts user for input then uses that in the path to run another batch file.
Quite simply
answer Enter server code
f:\batch\winxp\%answer%default.bat
The Answer.com application is in the same folder and it works on windows 9x but not XP.
Does anyone know what the xp equivalent is please, cause i'll get some brownie points if i get this right :D

hmmm, tough one... i think if you butter the least burnt side and put some marmalade on as well it should be ok, if not then try again but add a cup of coffee slowly poured into the case fan of the computer - sorted
Cheers bud, i'll give it a go :D :D

Ye ded :wack:
Can you not tell them to type the server code on the command line when executing the batch?
ie
batch.bat server1
then put %1 where you want to reference the first command line option then %2 if you need a second etc.
