I have to agree. it was a pile of SHE-EYE-Tuh
I've only caught the last hour or so, but I thought it was pretty good :)
I was thinking of watching it this weekend  Why is it sh1te?
I thought it was a wicked film personally, though I have to admit if you don't like rap especially it may lose its appeal.
:D

I think eminem is ok, but the film was pretty poor. Not the sort of film I was expecting from Mr Mathers - I thought it was a bit half hearted, watered down and sanitized for the masses :(
mmm, yes, didn't like it that much. I felt it never ended very well...maybe cos I thought it was going to be about his life so it was going to move onto his career taking off.
hahahahaha, well let me say this guys dont get me wrong:
as an actor, in the film i think eminem did very well, have seen far worse from music writers turned actors, but i really do suspect his character was just absed on him, i would like to see how he would do in another role:D
Jacko mate the last hour probs is the better bit thats why it seemed ok.....
the only thing that was semi interesting was the bit at the end when the mc'ing got good, and plus i like goodies to beat baddies:D heh im a true traditionalist on film endings:D
BUT the film had poor direction, it started off shit slow, it didnt retain my attention and it was poorly directed, tbh it made me think it was eastenders but made into a film and then made american...........and theres NO way it makes methink, wow mc'ing is cool, i wanna go out and diss the shit, hey yo black is back, bow wow whats my name....piss type crap that i heard all the way through:D
my problem with the film is i found most of it laughable, if this sorta shit really happens then lemme understand it right, people living in detroit(a shit looking place by the way, almost contesting Birmingham LOL) go out and work somewhere i they can in demoralising day jobs, and when it comes to lunch they form around some burger van and start trying to make up a rhyme of their life and their problem with it, people then join in and diss things and everyone disses this and that...OMG what the hell sorta film is it??????
i dunno, i DO know i like a lot of films and can be persuaded to watch a lotta crap but particularly all the dumb teenage kinda angst that polluted that film really put me off, and i do like rap so it wasnt that either:)

agreed, i wanna know if anyone else was like me, after he walks outta the club where he made some guy "choke", WHERE THE HELL WAS THE TYPICAL DRIVE-BY TO BLOW THE WHITE GUY AWAY? i waited all the bloody film to see one but NOPE he just walks back to his job in some steelworks pressing a button and getting a hard time continually off some BUBBA that lives to work or something...dear LORD its a good job im not a film critic;)

They should remake that film in the style of the "Real Slim Shady" music video...
Well I liked it :p
Thought it was excellent and I'll definately be getting it on DVD

I think it was good, too. If you have to compare it to something more recent, I think it kicks ass over the Matrix Reloaded anytime. Which isn't much, but something. :)
(I don't know anybody who didn't get fed up with the "We are here because we are here" -bullshit in Matrix Reloaded...)
I thought Eminem was good in it but it was sooooo sloooow at the beginning although the club scene at the end was funny. Don't think I will bother to buy it.
I went to the movies to see 8 Mile on the opening weekend and really liked it. I've just got me a DVD player - I know I'm just soooo modern for a country girl - and watched it again over t'weekend. Fab a second time around and what's with all the 'bonus' stuff you get on a DVD?...superb...I played for ages
i saw it when it came out at the cinema earlier this year and liked it. simon wasn't keen on seeing it as all he had seen was the first couple of minutes, when the guy is in the loo, but whilst away last week , we rented it, and i have to say, simon liked it......
i agree, you have to like rap to like it, if your not a fan, you won't like the film.......
talking of films, went and saw ANGER MANAGEMENT on saturday and it was ace!...... adam sandler, doing another great performance!
