To cut a long story short, about a year or so ago i had a water leak in the clio so untill i could be bothered to sort it i just kept topping it up with water! Guess what happen when i didn't drive it for a few days last week?? :o:o:o

And the best bit was after braving -5 and changing the most arkward fan belt oil and filter change in the snow,:D before we flipped the key, you peeked in the expansion tank to see a solid block of ice, all pipes solid:annoyed:.

Could be worse.......

I don't know what took you so long with that belt mind! I'd changed the oil, changed the oil filter, air filter replaced my turbo and plumb in my nitros system before you had even got the belt on!! AND YOU STILL DIDN`T DO THAT LAST BOLT UP :wack:

You have my sympathy mate :nod: It happened to me years ago , My land rover froze up but many kettles of boiling water later I got the engine started only to find I had no gears :confused: Thre gearbox had frozen too :wack:

I've put a sheet over the engine and in front off the rad to let it defrost on it's own! did it not crack the pipes as you poured boiling water on it?

Don't worry about no fan :no: I'm having problems getting cars up to 80c for emissions tests in this weather :wack:
