Jesus, I remember when you finished a game and that was that. You finished it. 100%. Done. Over. Complete. No hidden rewards or achievements to try and pad out the shallowness of the previous 8 hour's experience :o . No need for the game designer to con you into thinking you're getting 'extra value' out of the game by replaying the same shit over and over and over again just to get the hidden amulet of Ramulonadon to give extra healing and fiery hands +7. And yeah, I've fallen for it hook line and sinker with MW2 - just a few more kills and I'll be Level 42*

When I used to be into games I remember completing all the sonic the hedgehog games when i was a kid (except for that mystery levels from sonic 2 beta which I always thought were hidden in some form of rare cheat hehe), then ecco the dolphin 1 and 2 (that was hard going). Then I completed Nights into dreams which was a headache Mario 64 which took long enough, then Zelda 64 which took even longer but I kinda fell outta games since then. But Ive not tried games lately I can only imagine they are harder and much more expansive with the extra CPU power.. but then I have something for the old snes and megadrive games - thats when gaming really was fun and completion was achievable :0)

Agreed! I'll never sell my SNES, even though it can be years between sessions. Worth keeping it, if only for Super Probotector
Getting all the cheats unlocked in N64 Goldeneye and all gold in the GranTurismo licence tests probably burnt me out lol.

Biggest upset of my gaming conquests was on the origional NES

Puzzle "I'm a C@nt of a game" Bubble

Myself and a mate spent weeks covering 100's and 100's of pointless levels IIRC 500 in total. Blowing bubbles to catch the baddies then burst them to kill (Not exactly ODST I know:rolleyes:)

Finally after weeks we reach a huge end of game baddie , and after 2 days of attempts we beat him....:D

...Only to have the game start from the begining again but a little bit harder and faster:indiff:

I removed the cartridge and walked calmly out side and bashed it with a hammer..:D

Ive done quite a few games 100% - NO cheating involved.

Gran Turismo 1 and 2 and GT Prologue (PS3)
A few of the WWF games from the PS2.
Oblivion (on Xbox 360)
Bubble Bobble on Atari 1040STE

Loads of Adventure Games - You just complete them, there is no 100% on the older types (e.g. The Dig, Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle, Monkey Island - I could go on)

Im sure there are more games that I have forgotten. Oh yeah, Bat and Ball :wack:
