I was torn between 3 and 5. 3 is probably a little underexposed, but one assumes this is deliberate.

7 looks like a Photoshop chop to me :( I can think of a way to do it without though :)

7 looks like a multi flash to me. Black background so it doesn't overexpose, then long exposure with a flash to illuminate each expression.

And 8 looks like my dream workplace...

I will have to have a think about things.

I quite like #3, but maybe think the exposure and composition could have been a little better. Nice idea though.

Like #4 as well, really nice processing. Definately looks weird as well!

#8 is pretty funny :)

But I'm casting my vote based on it being a photo-competition so on the quality of the shot rather than the situation.

Voted 7 as I thought it captured the theme best... But I have to say that I absolutely love no.3 - brilliant photo, very evocative.

On that criteria, I'd say No.4 wins it hands down, it's a lovely shot, nice composition, dramatic contrast and some vignetting there to draw the eye! But there's absoloutly nothing surreal about it (sorry whoever you are :(), a really tough subject but it's good to see so many entries considering :nod:

It is, but it's also a photo comp, so I like to consider stuff like composition, exposure, etc as well as fitting the subject.

Mine was #2, I got zero votes :( It was all I had that fitted the subject, but I didn't think it was that bad, lol!!

The photo is actually of the office where I work. One of the guys turned his desk into a pub for the last day of the working year. Real ale all round. :smitten:

I'd been totally lacking inspiration for "Surreal" and then it hit me that his desk possibly fit the bill.

I was number 3, I did underexpose intentionally BUT overdid it. It looked fine on my PC but on my Mac very dark :(. Oh well, learning curve and all that!
