This is all software i have on my phone and currently use HTC Touch Pro 2
Website: (from PC) http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ (From mobile) http://www.pocketpcfreeware.mobi/
its one of the best freeware download sites going for Apps and games. they have a RSS feature as well. but before you download any software from them read the comments as they have proved invaluable in finding if the software will work, or if it will cause my phone to crash.
the mobile version of the site is quicker to load and has less gumpf, so is better suited for mobile viewing/dowloading, and you can dowload the software directly to your phone, as most of it is CABs or EXE files which are self executing/installing without the need to plug your device into a PC
the PC version has Datamatrix barcode direct to the dowload so if you install i-nigma (or similar)
Name: I-nigma
Type: Datamatrix Barcode Reader
Price: Free
Link: http://www.i-nigma.mobi/ (via Mobile phone, it will detect your phone and offer the correct and latest download)

Name: Valuephone Shopping List manager
Type: list managing software
Price: Free (registration required)
Link: https://www.myvaluephone.de/portal/services/shoppinglists/index.xhtml?cid=131020
Screen Shot:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/software_images/shopping-lists-manager.thumb.jpg
Overview: conveniently and clearly organizes any number of Shopping Lists. On the mobile and in the personal valuephone user area, Shopping Lists can be set up, edited, saved and used again.
The Shopping Lists Manager has a special "Shopping" mode, which, among other things, provides the feature to mark an item as "Got it". Afterwards, you can hide the found or bought items. This immediately makes your shopping list easier to follow.
If your shopping list is particularly long, the search feature will help you find a specific item. Should you remember another item that you need to buy during your errands, you can simply add it to the shopping list as well and be well prepared for your next trip to the store.
In the overview of all of your shopping lists, you can see which lists you have already been able to completely or partially check off or which are still open. By means of the feature "Reactivate list", you can use the shopping list again for your next shopping errand.
Another tip: Why not just set up the according shopping lists for all of cooking or baking recipes?
you dont have ot use it for shopping, use it for a check list, packing list etc, what i like is that you can do the list on the PC and send it to your phone, so i can fill it out and send it to my G/F's phone for the shopping etc

maybe phone specific stuff could be put up, but mark it that its for your HD2 etc, as some phone specific stuff can work on other models of the same make

OK, here's two gems I found :
=================================================
Name: Sportypal
Type: GPS Exercise Computer
Price: Free
Link: http://www.sportypal.com/Phones/WinMo
Screen Shot:
http://www.1800pocketpc.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/sportypal.png
Overview: You activate it when you start your running, cycling, walking, rollerblading or similar exercise. In two simple clicks it will start to log and map your position, movement, distance, tempo and calories burned. Once finished, you upload to their website and your route is overlaid on Google Maps, very nifty! NOTE : I have found that on my phone it does not log altitude, so I now use GPS Cycle Computer instead
My Score: 4/5 (would be 5/5 if altitude worked)
=================================================
Name: GPS Cycle Computer
Type: Ronseal
Price: FREE
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424423
Screen Shot:
http://www.schrankmonster.de/content/binary/WindowsLiveWriter/newGPStrackanalyzerfound_14F43/GPS-Cycle-Computer_1.jpg
Overview: Similar to above, you activate it, log your ride, then upload the results to the website and see your route displayed as an overview on Bing Maps. There's no calorie calculator, but the Sportypal one isn't really that advanced anyway.
My Score: 4/5 (would be 5/5 if it looked as pretty as Sportypal)
=================================================
The main differences between the two are that Sporty uses it's own application and website, and looks very pretty. However there are issues with the altitude logging as I mention. Of course, Sportypal also works for exercises other than cycling.
GPS Cycle Computer doesn't look as nice, but does display more info on screen, which you might find useful, it has no problems logging altitude and seems to work with any WinMobile as long as it's running the correct .NET distriution (3.0 if memory serves). It doesn't have it's own web application, so uploads to the Crossing Ways community. Again, crossingways isn't quite as pretty as Sportypal, but you can drill into the details a bit more.
If you really want to, you can log using GPS Cycle Comp, and manually upload to Sportypal's web app, or visa versa. They both use the same logging format.
That said : Being a Windows User, and being blessed with multitasking, I actually run both apps at the same time, then upload to each site when I'm done riding.....just because I can really.:smitten:
Not really an app but I will be getting it on monday as the TG01 interface apparently sucks. It's a shell that's goes over the top and is meant to be so much better and the best out there to date.
Name: SPB Mobile Shell 3.5
Type: User Interface for WM
Price: 29.99 dollars or cheaper if you've bought other stuff
Link: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/
Screen Shot: Sorry it's late, just click the link it has loads :)
Overview: UI, that looks a little like the HTC HD2 Sense UI.
My Score: unrated as will try this week.
Lot's of other WM stuff on there as well.
Name:Opnmarket
Type: App searching and Downloader
Price: Free
Link: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/opnmarket/

OpnMarket will use you mobile network connection or a WiFi connection to download softwares to your phone. It's simple, instant and FREE

its really good, it makes looking for an app or game effortless
My Score: 5/5
