I thought it may be handy for all the 5800 owners to recommend their best application/game/toy for the phone.



so far I have

TOOLS:
spirit level : would never have my phone on a building site
handwriting calculator : very cool
vlingo (voice recognition) : can understand "call mum mobile"
hourpower speaking clock : annoying voice. i wear a watch

TOYS:
newtons cradle:wack:
Lightsabre. :) uber cool

GAMES:
chess
connect4
backgammon
snooker
darts


any recommendations?

most of them from the Ovi store (https://store.ovi.com/?lid=storeheader&lang=en-GB). everything is free so far:thumbs::thumbs:

Transport tycoon is out there for those of you who remember it :thumbs:
Slightly chuggy, and crashes a bit but very good for distractions otherwise :)

A program called RaceCrono (available thru the OVI store) can be used as a lap timer - My own experience of it when I tried it at Oulton wern't so great, but then it's only really ment to run through a proper GPS reciever rather than the built in one. Great for if you're out hiking though as you can export your route and then overlay it onto Google earth :cool:

I may have to look at the snooker game and connect 4 :D

Also worthy of note is the latest version of Nokia's maps are out and allow you to navigate without being connected to their servers - best of all the download is free making your phone a totally free navigation system :)
