Guitar Hero / Rock Band - Compatability...

Right then dudes,
Need some help from those in the know!

Bought 'Rock Band' set from Smyths toystore for £40.
Have bought Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero III - Legends of Rock Xbox 360 for £16 from HMV (online)

Now i read that World tour game is ok with Rock Band, but i keep reading that Legends of Rock (GT III) isn't and is compatable with Rock Band.
Does anybody have either of the above ?

Also, last night, i bought Guitar Hero World Tour (the wireless guitar and World Tour game) for the PC, from HMV, and that cost £20 :) :) :) Not played it yet...... Am wondering if that guitar would work on the xbox ??

However, they are selling the Guitar Hero Metallica edtion guitar and metallica game for £30 for Xbox......
I cant find out whether that guitar will work along side the 'Rock Band' set, whilst playing any of these games ?
Hard to find info on what works and what dont, what i have managed to read is, its all about money and 1 company not wanting to pay the other to make us customers super happy! :(

right well as far as xbox 360 goes you can use any instrument from either rock band or guitar hero with any of the games, rock band or guitar hero.

Obviously GH3 doesnt support drums or anything like that.
I have all the guitar hero games as far back from GH2 on xbox and same for rock band and ive only ever bought one set of instruments and works on all of the games.

If your gonna buy an instrument pack buy the guitar hero world tour kit as its much better quality than the rock band stuff
