any one put one of these into their car. dyou have to be running big boost to run em. i imagine power delivery to be completely different and there would be alot of eehhhmmm adjusting/fab work etc.

Evilchap on here is running an Holset turbo that should be on a 7ltr diesel engine lol. I personally think it spools well on his RB30DET, but he's set on swapping it for a Garrett Roller Bearing job to get it coming in quicker.....

Edit - If you search on here for Holset, I think you'd be suprised at some of the people who have tried them  .

i had a holset hx35 on my 180sx, looked very impressive and could handle 3bar @ 600bhp but spooled pretty late.

i was under the impression they are supposed to spool faster than the equivelent garett? or is that rubbish?

theres no possibility that a journal turbo could spool as fast as a bb version.

i am really ignorant is the only way to put it about turbo and the different types. anyway to put a john deer, massy turbo on for a cheap crazy lil project.

The Holsets are mostly twin scroll units, if you're not running a twin scroll manifold, there's little point in using one.

This is a HX35, on a stock (as in engine internals) sr20 apparently..
