My contract is up next year and I'll be changing providers completely as my current one is too inflexible.

I'd like a phone with up to date tech so I took a brief look into phones the world over.
I've seen a couple released in JP but apparently not over here such as the Sharp F905i.

Anyone got a phone from abroad? At the moment it's either another HTC which have been very good in the past or nothing. I refuse to have an apple fanboy bag of crap before anyone suggests it.

some of the jap stuff is crazy. they have phones which u can use at swiping stations on shop tills, underground stations, vending machines etc and use the details on the phone to pay for stuff just by swiping it like a supermarket checkout scanner

Japanese consumer electronics have always been a lot more advanced than our own. They get some really cool stuff.

The phones I saw in Tokyo were no doubt technically advanced, but they all looked shite, big and boxy looking for some reason.
