Anybody know any good remote control car sites?
No.
Oh Merlin .......
Dave
Oh is Merlin into R/C cars?
Just bought a new Subaru WRX off ebay for £25  :D
Hope I get it in time for the weekend, ooooh I'm a little kid in a 24 years body
Yeah Merlin (Yik) knows a bundle about R/C cars. He works in a shop in my home town selling them (or atleast used to) and was/still is in a club racing them.
He's ya man to ask :D

http://www.dms-racing.com/
both good service and product knowledge
i used to be into r/c car racing bigtime a few years ago, had sponsorship from most of the manufacturers in the hobby.
Got to say its a right laugh, its competitive though :)
Had several in my time,
1st Tamiya cosworth 4wd
2nd Tamiya Golf VR6 fwd
3rd Shumacher ST2000 4wd - by far the daddy @ the time, Tuned to the nakers :D .
Its amazing how much i spent on this hobby of 2-3 years (in excess of £3000 quid   )
anyway just thourght id put my 2 pence in :D :D

just to add Apex Models - TOP CLASS :) :)

Yep, still does as well :)
A mate of mine has a petty Focus (why?) and its a rocketship. Problem is, its that fast that we seem to stack it and damage it after about 5 minutes  :tosser:

Paul,
If you are looking to get into RC but you are not sure about it and don't want to spend too much cash I may be able to help you.
I have some very good 1/10th, 1/16th and 1/24th scale RC cars (electric) for good prices. You can upgrade them very easily and cheaply if you want to go faster. They are a very good (cheap) way to get into RC and they are a great laugh as well!!!
Mail or PM me if you want more details.
Cheers
Nik

You wanna get a Serpent Impact with a two speed box and a Mega SX15, with a big fin head and a tuned pipe, they go like rocket ships, I used to chase cars with mine when I was younger on a dead smooth stretch of road near where I live, top fun ! Elite Models is the place to get them from. Speak to Walt Bailey.
i've just spent £300 on mine(student loans are great  ). Mine should be good for about 70, like your brother i need a big car park to get it to run fast
