View Full Version : LSD Question
Do Nissan Silvia ZX Turbo's have LSD as standard ? How can I tell if a car has LSD ?
Im thinking of buying a Silvia, what should I look for ?
hiya mate, no they have an open diff as standard, you will need to find some pretty obscure diffs to get an LSD swap, i believe an early 300zx has the same sorta diff to fit but check out the s12 website in the US, do a good search and im sure youw ill find loads:)

Thanks for that mate. Just reading up on the LSD swap. It looks quite easy but I dont know how easy it would be to get hold of a old 300zx diff.
Would make an excellent car for drifting :D
I just read that the LSD from a Sunny ZX will fit a Silvia. Looks like you'll be getting a Sunny ZX without an LSD :p :p
:D :D
Is not the Sunny zx an N13 chassis? Making it FWD and hence having no interchangeable drivleine components with the S12?
heh just read this thread:D that sunny zx is gonna suck then:(:D;)
yeah n13 chassis and FWD, im not sure but is there no way of removing the LSD unit and installing it into the s12 diff casing? it sounds possible to me, its the unit......erk would have to have a look tho:)

I think the s12 uses a diff called the r200 or somthing like that? does that ring a bell with anyone.
What type of diff does the s13 use, I bet one of these will bolt right up. (maybe)

Only My RS X is with LSD standard.
And its built to take the speed of 200bhp standard with no intercooler.
