Hi guys,

Avia are holding an open day this Sat for the SWCC but as im a nice guy im giving you guys the nod to pop along also ;)

Avia Autos,
Unit 7-8 Queens Court,
Bridgend Industrial Estate,
CF31 3tq.

For general enquiries call Hayley Murdoch on 01656 645050

We are all feeling Christmassy down at the Avia Shed and with no racing to distract us on a Saturday we are having a Free Set-Up Check afternoon.

Remember, Saturdays are for fun, not working and as delighted as we would be that you want the Avia treatment you will have to book in for another day.

Tea and coffee will be on offer and I might be persuaded to fire up the BBQ.......

If you want your car on the Avia corner weighting scales then phone me on 01656 645050 to book your place or book through this topic, I check it fairly regularly. Places are limited and also advertised on facebook, this is for checking camber and corner weights, I'm not getting the laser alignment kit out that day.

I have heard very good things about them and everyone i know that has had work done has been over the moon with the personal service given

From the info I can find they are just a Garage. No alignment unfortunately.

I'm sure i remember Nick saying something about them doing alignment, maybe i'm wrong. The car needs to be aligned desperately

I would like to come for a chat with them Phil, if i can get the 200 running would like them to put it on and check it out for me too.

Be nice to see what it's like at present before i strip the subframe off it.

I can get the current settings printed out and compare them to the setting's i asked for then lol

Either way would like to pop up for a nose.

Hi guys,

just to let you knwo me and Nick spent the day at Avia Auto's yesterday.

Collected my S13 from Mike first thing Saturday morning and then arrived at Avia Auto's at around 11am.

Hayley greeted us on arrival and was running around with a camera before I had chance to get my car off the trailer!

Her dad Andy is the man on the tool's and really know's his stuff - great guy to deal with and takes time to explain what he's doing etc.

Nick and myself were supplied with cup's of tea and Andy got stuck straight in. He asked what I wanted from the car handling-wise and then went about setting the car up.

We hit a stumbling block straight off that caused a bit of head scratching - one of my BC Inverted coilovers is 20mm longer than the other!! That really caused us all some confusion for a little while as it's the last thing you'd expect.

Anyway with all my alignment kit - I just took it out of the box and stuck it on so it took Andy a good few hours to sort it out. In total we were there for about 6 hour's - Andy seem's the tye of guy to want to get stuff spot on. By the end of is the car was tracked, ride height adjusted, front and rear camber set, front and rear toe set and the car was corner weighted!

She's quite a heavy girl - tipping the scales at 1300kg so I need to do a bit of work to get that down a bit.

On a whole I was very pleased with the service and would recommend anyone that they are worth a visit.

I learnt a fantastic amount of information during that time too Paul.

I will be implementing it all on my car too.

Once i pull my finger out and get the rear end fully bushed im going to be going straight up to Avia

 I still haven't been out in your car,so you'll have to show me how it handles!
My 200 handles like a bag o shite, and i need a good drive to get interested in it again! I'm spending more on the Altea, just bought 345mm disks and callipers for it :wack:

Mine is nothing special tbh Paul but everything that is on it seems to work

I don't have Uprated ARB's but have everything else lol

It's very twitchy at the moment though due to the orchard motors setup or lack of it lol

Phil had his done to be pointy as the chap said lol and this is the way i like mine to be also.

So will pop into Avia in the next few weeks hopefully to get it done before going back to the ring :)

Just hope it does not cost me as much as phils did :wack:

I'm sure it'll be awesome once done,i know how fussy you are with getting things right!
I'm the other way round,i do something once, and if its not quite right i live around it! Gotta stop being so lazy :)

Mine cost £200 but it was my own fault for just chucking the arms on the car straight out of the box without even getting them to the same length as standard! lol.

Yeah I was happy enough to be honest. I'll have to find out they standard rate to give people a rough idea as I doubt many cars would take that kind of time to set up.

Mine might. :wack: TBH though, I will try to get a rough alignment myself first.
