View Full Version : Man 'finsihes' World of Warcraft
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=228680
A Taiwanese man has been named as the first player to 'finish' World of Warcraft.
'Little Gray', as his character's known, is the first to successfully complete all of the MMO's 986 achievements listed in the armory, reports MMO Champion.
To reach the milestone the Taiwanese power-player killed 390,895 creatures, accumulated 7,255,538,878 points of damage, completed 5,906 quests (that's 14.62 quests per day, apparently), raided 405 dungeons and hugged 11 players.
The achievement hasn't arrived without some controversy though; WoW-heads point out that technically he's still missing one illusive, event-tied achievement (called "BB King"), but he's managed to dodge it via a glitch awarding one extra, false achievement point.
We say he's not a man until he tracks down and gets that last achievement legitimately.
i dont know whats sad'er the fact he's done this or the fact i've taken time ot read it and the comments then post it here

Well his next achievement goal should be to get a life.
14 quests a day, er... i assume thats a lot of work.

I read this earlier - that dude can't have seen daylight for quite some time
Fair play to him though - I dare say in the WOW world he'll be a hero...

The crazy "bitch" on gumtree would like some action off such a person* I expect
*I think spending that much time on WoW should disqualify you from being classified as a human being
hahah. Oh yeah, the weird Gumtree woman!

Wow. I really don't get wow but to each their own:indiff:
We call him sad yet there's a 45 page thread about one game only a couple of clicks away, on this very forum. :wack:
The very day I realised most gamer's were sad bastards, was when Andy from work said 'Sorry I can't come out tonight and get pissed, I have to play World of Wrongcraft at 9pm, as there's a bunch of people I've never met before counting on me'
The second reminder of such behaviour was a few weeks ago when I saw people queuing up at 11pm at Tesco for the release of Minesweeper 2 (I think that's what it was)

God only knows what is thought of drunken gamers in these judgemental circles:o:o:o
Lol, yeh we're sad bastards who want to socialise in real life and have real fun ;)
I should have said 'hardcore gamer's' to be fair ;) Can't tarnish all with the same brush
and have real fun ;)
A subject for a different thread methinks, but I'm in the same situation.
Put all of your mates in a room with no alcohol. Have real fun.

no your not ... you cant interact with other members of society unless you have broken down your inhibitions with the use of alcohol ... Beer is your WOW .. you are an a confidence alcohol dependant ;)

Surely one of his 11 hugs resulted in a shag?
Dunc.

I would class myself as a "Hardcore Gamer" - just check MW2 thread - LOL
Yet, I love cycling up mountains and never turn down a night out getting pissed.
Does that mean I'm sad?

Sounds like a night full of win to me.
I often have Xbox and beer nights with the lads when the wife goes out.
I call it 'babysitting' as my 2 children are upstairs asleep ;)

It's a constant battle against boredom of completing what are largely the same quests written in different ways. Kill 3 of those, take 2 of these there, find 5 of those and bring them here, find 9 of these and take them there...

I grinned, tbh.
I wonder where TAC is in relation to this?
