Hi,

I have an Auto S14a which currently has one of your stage 3 maps in (although still running the standard turbo, Z32 AFM and HKS cams as well as the modifications recommended on your website - bought it like this as project).

I am looking to do a manual conversion and get it set up to stage 2a.

However I have a couple of questions before I book it in for re-mapping / tune up.

1. Is there any benefit in getting a manual ECU for it once converted?

2. Would it be better to get it custom mapped and keep the Z32 AFM or put the original back on?

3. Will it need a custom map anyway because of the cams?

Any advice before I embark on thes project would be appreciated - Cheers!

1) No
2) You really need a custom map, due to the cams
3) Yes

Hope that helps :)

Yep - cheers for the reply will sort out getting it booked in at some point then I guess as soon as I get paid.

Only just picked up the car and found a Greddy E-01 still wired in and appears to be working (well is lit up etc) but told it has one of your chips in as this was not working - Can this be removed (as I'm not safe let loose with things I could play about with) and will it need something to replace it to control the boost or can the re-mapped ECU use the boost controller without leaving me with stuff to mess with?

Trying to work out if this all means loads more cash!
