We recommend that you wire the HID relay to the side lights - this way the dipped beam HIDs come on when you switch the sides on. This avoids all the problems associated with switching from dipped to main and vice versa. Our kits come with a relay and loom - fitting is pretty easy, just follow the instructions :)

cheers for the reply...so basically when switching to main beam when the hid's lights are on, what happens? the lights turn off or does it engage the standard main beam as per normal?

im not clued up on hid's watsoever

When you go to main beam the HIDs stay on :)

so if you wire to sidelights it means that you cant just have the sidelights on anymore?

Yep thats how I read it too.

Mine are wired to my fogs, just leave the switch on :)

I've taken the fogs out as they look really yellow with the hids. Plus with the hids, the fogs become useless and just turn into a £30 fine waiting to happen.
