Midweek meet

This has kinda got lost in the depths of the sxoc midlands section, but as Simon keeps pointing out, at least he would be able to turn up to a midweek meet.

And i know i said i would look for a location a while ago ... oops :o

So starting afresh - The meet will be in and around 10-15 miles from Cov, but first question

What day is good for people ?

I'm kinda good with any, cause i'm a sad boring old man almost worthy of any S14a :cry: :thumbs: :wave: :wave:

and coventry is a better venue for the real deal hardcore midlanders(ie people from the west mids!)than bloody northampton!! thats the south really rather than the midlands!!! :D ;) :p

Sorry I couldn't make it to the POD. Sounds like you had a great laugh.

Couldn't get the car to start - flooded it the night before when I moved it a few feet. Then found wasn't going anywhere anyway - flat tyre. Finally sorted it out this afternoon though.

Then it comes down to how often, if we're meeting in pub i'm quite happy for a weekly meet, but that may seem over the top -

i cant say 100% that ill be able to make it as im snowed under with college assignments for my final year of my course and ive gotta get them all done by the end of the month :(
i didnt get many done last weekend cos i was... uh...busy (washing and waxing the sx on friday afternoon, picking up car parts on saturday for my bro's civic, santapod on sunday and the un-missable drift day on monday) ;)

Right, had a look at the place tonight - seems nice enough, car park should be adequate.

Might be a little villagey inside, but looks nice outside down by the canal.

I will post directions when I have a little more time, but its very easy off jnct 2 of the 6.

Well i looked on autoroute and it looked fairly simple to get to the village :thumbs: Im probably looking at about 1/2 - 3/4 hour drive up M1/M6

Right the pub is called the Rose & Castle, and the directions are too easy to bother posting a map

For those of you coming westbound on the M6 (northants lot) take the 4 th exit off junction 2, for those coming eastbound (Caine), take the first exit.

This exit splits immediately into two, the left hand fork for the M69 to leicster, and the right hand fork to Ansty village]

Take the right hand fork to Ansty, and follow it straight 60 becomes 40/30 then not far after there is the pub on the right hand side, with the emtrance to the car park on the right before the pub.

I suggest me meet on one of the tables down the steps at the bottom of the car park next to the canal - or inside if its raining.

Wednesdays at 8 then, i cant make it this wed as i'm in newcastle, but i was only kidding when i said you lot couldn't meet without me :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :cry: :wave: , so have a good meet if you do chaps.

Directions are in the sticky at the top, but briefly come off Jnct 2 of m6 and from your direction I think its first exit towards m69. The road then splits and you want to take the right hand split towards Ansty.

Follow this straight until the speed limit apprarently comes into force, then there will be the rose and castle on your right not too far after.
