Anyone know what mail-order shops on the web offer 0% finace (usually between 6 and 12 months) for things like:-
Tuning Gear??
Wheels??
ICE??
Im getting a nice sum of money, but its not gonna be in my grubby mits for another 4 months.
Minty.
I don't know of anyone doing 0% on tuning gear, usually they hike the interest up because its a high risk sale - esp' mail order,if the buyer decides not to pay the installment its usually very difficult to get the goods back. Also it has been known for people to buy thing like wheels etc on finance only to sell on to raise cash!
I think your best bet is to get a low rate personal loan from your bank or somewhere like egg, they usually have very competitive interest rates

Buy it on your credit card and transfer it to an Egg account...

Like Ben said. Buy it on a credit card and the open an egg card account and transfer it to that. They give you 0% on balance transfers ;)
Halfords (yuk) do 0% on certain things I think. probably only sunstrips and neon lighting though :(
The Halfords thing is usually only 0% for 6 months and the monthly payment only covers about half the debt or something and when the six months is up you have to pay the balance or they charge you interest, not only for the remaining balance, they also lump in the previous 6 months interest that they didn't charge you at this point too which means it's not really 0%
You can get around it by phoning the finance co and changing the payment so it covers the whole of the debt in the 6 months
Comet etc do a similar deal
try www.smartcar.co.uk for wheels etc
www.cel-direct.com for ice
These are just a couple i found offering 0% out of a mag
Hope it helps
Anywhere offering 0% will have jacked up the basic price to start with.
Deffo get a credit card with introductory cheap rate then haggle a lower price in the shop.
or you could save up :D
