Hopefully if you are interested in LM2010 you have just received a PM fom me - I mentioned the spreadsheet thats attached to this post.

It shows all of the people going and what cars they are travelling in so I can book the right number of pitches - as you can see, some of the later interests Im not sure about so need some more information.

Can you therefore confirm on this thread that you are definitely coming and who you are coming with so we can get this sorted. I wont be booking any tickets before we have received payment and Im looking at the end of November, so if you wont have the money by then, tough :D

Taylor - kiss my ass :p

Dan and Deacon - sorted

Parker - the 4 of you in a van will be £92.75 each

Cash will need to be directed to SXOC as Im not covering 4 and a half grand myself

lol, not really. What I was getting at (and wording poorly) was that if Paul can't make it then Ken could jump in the vab/pick up with us. We could go 5 up but that might be a bit cramped.

Which is why I'm waiting to hear from Paul then we'll sort it out and let you know

I think Ken should definitely drive unless he has another bhp upgrade around then....

Doc: I'm in with a +1, your PM said the spreadsheet included payment details, I don't see any yet.....

I think we might need to hire a monster generator!

I'm getting excited already :)

I need to sort out a lift,I can get a flight into Gatwick,Stansted or possibly Southampton the day before we leave if anyone can pick me up & give me a sofa to sleep on,should be able to get a flight home the day after we get back to blighty so would need to sleep over one more night.

Obviously I'm happy to share fuel/ferry/peage/camping expenses

Doc: The £95 car/camping is per vehicle right?,so if split more than 2 ways it would cheaper for each person, just checking that £116.50 is worst case based on 2 in a vehicle yeah?

The £69 is for entrance and you are really going to need one of them each, but car/camping is literally that - if you had 15 of you sleeping in a minibus it would be £6.30 each :wack:

Gib, want to pair up? (to save doc some confusion?)

either both in the LS14, or both in the barge / contortionwagon?

I'd love to bring Fran, but don't think she'd last a full week (she's not allowed anyways)

Doc, can you check how much Algie, Parker and I should be paying?

How much do I pay if I'm with colwell and daz?

Stidi
26-11-2009, 10:24
would be the same as algie / grazor / Parker :)

rule of thumb
1 car 1 person - £164.00
1 car 2 people - £116.50
1 car 3 people - £100.67
1 car 4 people - £75.50

:)

I'm guessing worst case scenario if they've already paid, you give them some money each for the camping pass and get your own entry ticket when you're there, that's what i did last year and it would save doc some confusion if you're going to be a big ginger fail and not turn up :D

See, I'm feeling Wednesday as its another day of sitting around doing bugger all :thumbs:Let me persuade you :)

When we drove down on the Wednesday in 2008, there was almost nothing to see, car-wise, and apart from racing each other, the only time I remember any fun was when you hurtled past after the M5 and got us lost :wack:

Conversely, on the Thursday in 2006, the ferry and every petrol station was full of exotics. The first station... Corvettes, and a Diablo. The second one, you couldn't park for the Porsches, Ferraris, and Astons. Through the tunnel in Rouen... a whole convoy of TVRs, making lots of noise and doing the odd burnout. The whole second half of the journey, we semi-convoyed with a V8 Vantage and a Noble, who would come blasting past at ~150 then wait for us; I think they were using us to establish a 'safe' average speed! Almost every other car you saw was a english-registered sports car of some sort.

A few cars we caught on camera:

When we went down on Wednesday last year, although we didnt see a lot of exotica, we also didnt see any police so could keep the toe down a bit. Due to there not being so much traffic we were there by 3pm, and had the tent up before the rain started (again) at 4.30.

The following day we got up at about 11ish after drinking till 4 the night before and had the pleasure of watching all the other boys turn up and pitch their tents in wind and a little rain while we supped cold beer and smoked reefas. I also got a day more relaxing holiday than they did :D

I'm in agreement with Doc on this,I'm not bothered about what cars we do or don't see on the way there & I rather have an extra day to get the tent up & get settled in for the long days/nights ahead  :D

We went on the Tuesday in 2007 & practically had the campsite to ourselves when we got there so we had plenty of time to claim our pitches & take up as much room as we needed

For those interested in how much space you get, a single pitch doesn't give you much room but putting loads together will provide a very decent and usable space for tents and cars.

The foreground of the pic shows 4 spaces (SX to Elise and tents in background) and in the background the Coupe and Mini are in a space each.

http://i.pbase.com/o6/46/701846/1/114068051.Lk2axzMQ.LeMans09023.jpg

In the end there were 4 good sized tents, 4 cars, gazeebo and room for movement (staggering room).

Right, back to the proper thread :D

Oh bugger.

Knew there was something I was supposed to sort out.

Doc - I'd like to take my car down as well as Andy F taking his. Is it ok to add one more car spot onto the booking? I can then do a transfer to the sxoc

Has anyone from the group Ken & I will be travelling with looked into ferry/chunnel crossings or made a decision as to what days we will be heading out & heading back?

I'd like to get my flights booked as early as possible to keep the cost down

All I really need to know is what day we are definately going,Tuesday or Wednesday? & I'm assuming we'll all be coming home on the Monday as usual, depending on what time the ferry gets in I might be able to catch an early evening flight home which means Ken could drop me at Gatwick on his way home & not have to put me up another night or mess around taking me to Gatwick on the Tuesday morning.

Sorry buddy, I didn't call you back :(

No Probs mate,I won't hold it against you - unless you ask me nicely at LM :D

Cool so deffo Wednesday so I can get a flight in late Tuesday eve

Just need to know what ferry we'll be coming home on now then I can decide if I'll make the Monday night flight or wait till Tuesday ;)

Who's sorting the ferry for our lot do you know?

We didn;t sort out ferrys until about March or April last year IIRC. It was realy late on, but if it's any help I'll be looking for a similar time journey to last year about 4pm on the Monday

Ah right, that might be too late for a Monday flight then, the last flight leaves at 19:45 so I'd need to be at the airport by around 6pm at the latest which would mean we'd have to be off the ferry in Dover by about 4pm! lol

I think I'll play safe & book the Tuesday lunchtime flight home

I should be ok to book them now I know what days we are definately travelling, what do you think mate?

That's the plan last time I booked ferries for me, Parker, Grazor and Dwarfslapper.

Colwell booked for himself, Julkes and the Essex lads :thumbs:

Grazor, Tom and I are deffo car sharing, we're happy to bring a van if the SXOC Sindicate need us too or we'll borrow/hire what we need :thumbs: It'll depend on what's needed nearer the time, if push comes to shove i'll borrow my Old Man's A4
