Is this noise right?

After finally getting around to fitting the stainless manifold i've had laying around and after making it fit because of the poxy ABS

the car sounds like a superbike from about 4 - 5,000 rpm onwards.

Is this noise right? or does the mani have a crack in it or something?

I would say that's an apex type 2 then :nod:

The rare one that never really took off due to fitment issues ;)

It will sound like it's ticking if the engine to manifold side is loose or you have a crack in one of the runners, and well you will hear it puffing away if you have a crack on the collector.

Crazy sounds while on boost are it's thing ;) i love mine lol

You want to try an external wastegate if you want noise. Mine used to sound like a Jet at take off whe it came on boost! It's the wall thickness as much as anything that lets the noise out. the cast log does a good job of muting all the wooshes and other noise.

Crazy sounds while on boost are it's thing ;) i love mine lol yea i do love the noise and can;t believe power and throttle response. It now feels like all 5 gears have somehow merged into one lol it's weird, i didn't expect that when i put it on.

ah right we'll as long as it's supposed to make that noise, that's ok then :)

i will pop over when i get a spare 5 mins dude and your free so you can test (whatever you need to test to try and identify what the feck is going on with the cold start issue).
