Hi all,

I have a halfcut of a S13 180sx, I used it to swap over the sr20det redtop.
On the redtop was an double oilpump. One went to the powersteering and one was going to some kind of Hydraulic valve (see photo's).

It's seems to be an hydraulic valve with's control by two electric solenoids, with a 4-2 or 4-3 valve. Two lines are heading from the hydraulic valve to the back of the car, and are cut off (halfcut).

Do any of you have an idea were it's for? Possible for suspension, diff or something else?

I don't have that pump on my car but i also don't have Hicas so it could well be that.

You might've just brightened up my week :wack: - the cable from the pump, does it go up the suspension turret and through the hole in the wing?

I was worried I'd thrown my cable out with the autobox and it was part of the gearbox harness, but looking at the pic, I might've just tucked it somewhere out the way when painting my engine bay :).

Cheers  - went down to the garage last night and I had pushed it back through the wing, along with a few other cables. Something else I don't have to sort when putting it all back together so I'm happy :)

If I hadn't seen your post, I think I would have incorrectly rewired the socket from the old autobox speed sensor to the HICAS solenoid  :wack: (as it's a near-identical 3-pin socket)

That would have made the driving experience quite... dynamic! :wack:
