Membership

There have been a lot of people wishing to join,and been encouraged to join this Club, for the benefits of membership,but there seems to be a lot of reasons as to why membership has not been updated,recorded, and cards,packs not issued, but it seems little action to resolve the current state of our membership renewal system :confused:

Why is it so difficult to achieve membership after encouragement to renew or join?

Referring to the fact that paying to join does not seem to mean that, we are going to always be recieving membership cards and the like as quickly as one would imagine.

you raise an interesting point and one which has not escaped the attention of the commies ( the red dudes ) and us membership bods.

with the unequalled success and growth of the club it had highlighted areas within the current process which need refinement and improvement to work more effecient as demand moves on.

each month there are more and more renewals and more people joining the club. this in turn has a snowball effect and our current way of dealing with memberships was designed around much smaller numbers.

the club ( i.e. Jim ) is investigating ways to modernise and streamline the membership process for both new and existing members to make it a more seamless process and reduce the number of opportunities for human issue's.

eg at present we have two databases , members and forum registrations. if someone joins they need to be on members but may not be on the forum at all. and vice versa so it requires the human element to go search , maybe cross reference emails etc etc which all takes a lot of time.

when all is done and dusted we , hopefully , will have a much more streamlined process behinf the scene to make it much better for members new and old.

I have a membership issue and have PM'ed you twice but still you don't reply! :down:

I sent a cheque for my renewal coming on for almost two months ago now and now my membership has lapsed!

I only want to know if you received it or not ( please don't blame the postal strike as several cheques were sent out that night and all have been received without problems), if not then I will send another one.

Maybe I would be better off spending my monies elsewhere as my patience is wearing a bit thin now :mad:

I do realise you do this in you spare time and appreciate the effort you take but you also need to realise that people are sending their cash to you and expect results!
