I quite like thg idea of a van myself, not quite like that one though.

Vans are great fun to drive, that one does look hideous though!
You'd have loved my mates mk2 Astra van. Sprayed in Kawasaki Green with TSW Venoms and a bodykit. It actually looked very nice :) You'll hate it but we loved that thing :cry:

how about a bedford rascal with a motorbike engine, with an unsilenced exhaust coming out the side:eek: :eek:
was doing low 12's at ultimate street car last year if i remember correctly:tosser: :tosser:
You may laugh at the scrabbleness of them, but a friend of mine had an Astra Van, and threw a 2.0 Cav Sri engine in it (only the 8V though).
Due to having no weight in it, it went like stink!!! :D :D
yea dont diss the mightiness of the van!how bout all those escprt vans that have had rs turbo engines put in em!!Always fancied doing something mental to a transit van(2.8 V6, and an A-team make over perhaps?) or the above mentioned rascal!

Nope it has to be keved up with the previousley mentioned "mods" sticking a motorbike engie in is something I would do for a laugh :rolleyes: oh and :tosser: :tosser: to you to and :finger: while were at it stick this up ya ass :thumbs: :D;)

Ford Kev'd up one of their Transit vans to make the Rally Transit :)
I saw the thing on a program recently and it really shifts surprisingly :)

well it was painted in some manky lime green colour, and as far as I'm concerned that's keved up enough, might have had other mods as well, i was to far away to see + too busy laughing at it!!!!

Yup, it was on Top gear a couple of years ago, stripped out, caged up, Ex - rally car seats from the Colin McRea car, and a cossie motor with a few tweeks under the bonnet :D

The ford rally transit was a turbo diesel engine.. not sure on the cosworth moniker stuy :)
The ford Supervan 3 was F1-engine powered. I believe the Supervan 2 had the GT40 lump in it. It's one of those sights (and sounds) that doesn't seem believable. You SEE a transit, but you HEAR a formula one car :D
Anyone who drove on a motorway in the early '90s will know the Astramax diesel van was the fastest vehicle in the world back then. Surely nothing has taken its crown?

I'm sure I've seen Merc sprinters doing about 115-120, and apparently, according to several other engineers, you can get them to say 120-125 on the speedo!
Best I've had is 110 tho:(
the merc sprinter is the weapon of choice for the post modern white van man of 2day!

I saw the Espace F1 at a car show here in Lux last year, should see the size of the tyres on it, def balloon types from an 80s F1 car. Also the engine is sat around midships, but very low down. V cool looking motor:cool:

it must have started life as a 500 quid f-reg tranny van at some point! can you see the subtle little homages to the a-team van like the blacked out windows? could do with a whoppa of a spoiler like the a-teams van tho! i strangely want this van!!!! :D :thumbs:
