Seeing it's a rather nice day today. I shall be fitting this i think :thumbs:

Wonder how much of a diffrence it will make?

Only the silencer for now. Seem to be working backwards with the Exhuast. Elbow and downpipe done. all i need now is a nice silenced rear section. Not a fan of mege loud systems like I used to be. Considering the HKS Silent might be a good buy?

I bought a decat silencer, made a nice difference :nod: made it a bit deeper and nicer sounding, and reduced DB by about 8-10, which meant going on track wasnt an issue any more :)

Don't expect an immediate change though :no: much like a brand new exhaust, it takes a few weeks for it to get coated inside and silence properly. On first start up, i noticed no difference whatsoever :no: but a few weeks later, it started to quieten down noticeably :nod:

Fek it, The flanges are incorrect. There on the opposite angle to the downpipe and back section :( Will have to contact Japspeed on monday..

I remember from the two I have, that turning it 180 degrees it would fit both ways, but turning it upside down it would not fit.

After sitting the Cat next to the silencer as well as offering it up in situ, twisting/flipping/turning it. It just wouldnt match up, the flanges appear to have been welded at the opposite angle of what it needs to be or somthing.

Where did you get it from?

Doesn't sound right it should fit, can you get a refund?

did they ever make s14a's in wrong hand drive ??? im wondering if its this but ive never seen one the wrong way round lol

It was from Japspeed, but was in the Skyline r32/33/34 section but they said it should fit a S14a Spoke with them today. It seems that it wont fit and they have not got one sooo :( I'm considering trying a standard De-cat instead. If i dont like it i can change in the future :)

There Top guys there, offered full refund no quibbles.

Bet it would fit an S13 :thumbs: Those flanges are on wrong aswell :D

Visit your local exhaust maker and get them to put a silencer in instead of a decat..... only cost me about £60.

I had a 3 inch silencer made by longlife (I think) - £50-60 but I supplied the flanges.
Scorpion also make a 2.7 inch silencer.
