If anyone see's a HGV with bad nearside damage can they please let me know ASAP or contact their local police, at 05:50 this morning a HGV was involved with a hit and run accident involving my self while i was working, its written off my works breakdown truck and the car i was dealing with, luckily no-one was injured, but the low life scum never stopped, there's no question that he realised he had hit us as it has written off 2 vehicles, obviously it could have been alot worse, im afraid there is no details of the vehicle as it happened so quick but was a HGV with a trailer unit. It happened in the cambridge area but obviously the truck could be anywhere.
Thanks for your time.
Regards
One very shaken Nick
hope your alright :)
how did it happen if you don't mind me asking?
Andy
I'm fine thanks, just quite shaken, im a breakdown driver, was positioned of the road, dealing with a broken down car, the HGV side swiped my truck and the car, both complete write offs.
Jesus!!
At least you are OK - did you see colour of the truck?? Where did it happen??
Ill keep an eye for you mate :)
Shit!!! glad you're ok. Yeah, what colour was it??
Dave
Cheers guys, it happened on the A14 eastbound, just after the Quy junction, but obviously it could be anywhere now.
We think it may have been red, as there is some red paint on my truck, but apart from that i couldnt tell you, we were sitting in my truck at the time, i looked in my mirror for some reason and just saw 2 headlights then kaaaaaaaabang, by the time i realised what happened the lorry was long gone.
Just glad you are OK mate :)
Which bit of the country?
Glad to hear you're ok - as you say, coulda been so much nastier! Doubt it would turn up in my area but will keep my eyes peeled just in case :)
i dont think the hgv would show any major damage unless it was a head on bump
