How do you fancy testing your driving ability, mixed with the excitement and buzz of competitive racing?

Looked at a few venues and this one looks ok (http://www.westonlodgeshootingground.co.uk/karting.htm)

The 600m off road karting track is twice the length of normal circuits. You'll have plenty of opportunity to experience rough terrain karting - twisting, turning, overtaking - providing an exciting and thrilling day out, either for corporate entertainment, staff outings or stag and hen parties. Enjoy fun and thrills from start to finish - yet stay protected in a complete roll cage, full safety harness and protective clothing.

This is a true Grand Prix racing experience. Each driver competes in 4 races of 5 laps each. Five drivers compete on the track for each race, with a further five drivers being strapped in in the pits. Once the races have been completed, the whole event is rounded off with a medal ceremony for the winners.

we would need 16 people and prices would be £28 per member:thumbs:

So any takers? not sure on dates yet, so anything you can/can't do state so:nod:

Hello Matt
I dont want to sound negative and Im always up for laugh with the SXOC lot but i did this not so long back, the track is pretty poor to be honest an oval really its pretty much flat everywhere and so its just down to the cart you get. We did have a laugh however.

To be fair the karts at castle combe are shite, so is the track.
My vote would be to go to go Clay Pigion, Thruxton or Llandow.
Perhaps if there was enough interest next summer we could do a
weekend to Newquay and combine it with the karts At St.Evil as
that is an awesome circuit with quick karts.

I'd give it a go if the number get there, aye. Rory, how fast are the Karts?

Wonder if paintballing would be an idea, if folks don't want the Karting.
I'd like to try paintballing with proper looking weapons (not the shitty pipe pea shooters with silly gas tanks hanging off the bottom), if that's anywhere near our region.

Quad bikes are great fun as long as they have a reasonable amount of power.

I'll be up for whatever form of 4 wheeled excitment:thumbs:

Paintballing is a ass kicker on cost, last time I went it was like £6 for 100 balls, more time was spent wondering how hard it was going to hit my wallet than thinking about shooting people. Guy I was with just shot whenever he felt like it, ended up with around a £120 bill.

Unless you find one of those ultra rare places that will let you bring your own balls, now that would be madness.

this is a bit random for an event but what about the sxoc pitch and putt challenge. something different, ashton court few fourballs could be a giggle teams of two. I promise i will be exempt from a win cause I like a bit of golf and know what im doing. just an idea. should be quiet with the weather on the turn. doesnt have to be ashton court there are others?? Could get the welshee's down to kick their ass boys!! :D and its credit crunch cheap £7 or £8 quid ???
