Just seen TV news.

I was at school with the guy, who has won TT bike race several times and I think still holds the record.

Crashed and died today practising for this year's race.

Respect to his achievements.

Shocked at the news. Always been a big fan of the TT but even I'm wondering how much more of this it can sustain before having the plug pulled.

At least he went out the way most bikers would have it - flat out, balls in the breeze, adrenaline flowing, going for it.

I've done the Manx Rally, and it scared me witless in a tin-top with 16point cage...
