Teaching a dog morse code

has anyone tried it? i mean they should be able to do it, cuz they have the capabilty of controling their "voice" boxes to do long and short barks. it cud take a while but wud be a cool dog to have!

my dogs to old for it now and she's easily confused:rolleyes: shes also a big whimp with no patience. shes about 5 or 6 still has puppy mentality tho.
she seems to know the meanings for lots of words and can do a fiar few things:
yes
no
sit
down (down meaning get off or lie down)
lie down
up (to stand up from sitting or to sit from lieing)
brekfast
paw
used to know left paw and right paw and other paw if she gave me the wrong one
dinner
drink
water
apple
up the garden
walkies
walk
wait
hold it
ah ( means lots of things usualy no and wait)
come here
here
go away
over there
move (or mnove it)
its over there
look
there it is
fetch, (but she never brings it back just runs over to get it and then plonks down where she likes and then chews whateverit was i threw :rolleyes: )
rollover (or just over, this is quite a new one for her)
bed
towel
bone
ball
brush
spider
fly
catapiller
cat
squirrel
deer
bird
sheep
i think she knows fish
sea
beach(not that we live anywhere neer either)

im sure there's others but i think thats the most of it, she responds to hand gestures for most of the commands and clicking the fingers etc shes quite a smart dog but no where neer as clever as a guide dog.

i wud love to try and teach her morse code. when i get a puppy i'll try and teach that when its at a good learnign age.

You can teach a dog morse code, but it's teaching them how to spell afterwards that's the problem ;)
