I'll be there, I've paid my 50 and I'll even have my 200, but not on the track unless I get lost over the weekend and do 1000 miles.
Gotta run my engine before I can go above 4000rpm.:(

Mike what is it you need for your air-con, I've already said Dundeeguy can have the bits he's after if I have them on my spares car. I haven't been able to check yet as when I went to check my door fell off my garage. Its a council lock-up and they came round and nailed it shut as an emergency repair, so until they come back and fix it I can't get at it.
I have a spare pump for definate.
ill be there.
But ive not managed to get tyres unfortunately, so ill be making an Arse of meself as usual.

I'll be there - had a practice last saturday - great fun
There was a number of Elises last saturday, i.e. big power to weight ratio and rear wheel drive - when the rain came on it was fun watching them perform 'the balerno' :finger: :finger:
There was a racing prepared cossie with over 400bhp - he was f**king fast.
Plus there was an extremly fast white nismo pulsar doing the rounds (I've seen this guy at crail earlier this year) - with his girlfriend in the passenger seat - filing our nails i think :)
Gee, do you know this pulsar? What he has done to it?
Cheers
Kenny

Called Knockhill today, if you cannot make it to the track day you can defer to another date (no refunds :( ) BUT you must call them before the day of the event. Lady I spoke to said the 3rd is fully booked and there are people waiting for cancelations..... dilemma  .

What we waitin for then?
No point in feckin your crank etc. we can both make the next one Jonny and I'm sure some of the attendees of this one will fancy another 'bash' at it.(maybe wrong choice of words)
I've only got another 979miles to do before my engines ran in.:D

Cheers. I need the condenser which is the radiator shaped/sized thingy in front of the engine radiator... looking at the condenser from the front bumper, both sides are tapered in at the bottom and the pipe on the top right (near side) comes out of the condenser and turns 90 degrees towards the off-side of the car... Got one?
guys wat do we think about re-sheduling all till next available?

Kev, I'm still going... but that doesnt mean I wont go on another day.. Dont feel you have to come or drive your car. If you do come, you can come around in my car if you want... whatever...
Kev - I got a set of Falken 512's for my MR2 in the end. They were £215 from Micheldever for the set of 4 (205/50/15 front, 225/50/15 rear). Went with them after all supplies of Toyo's seemed to dry up and I didn't wanna pay the £330 for the F1's again. Initial impressions are good, not noticed any loss of dry weather grip at least. Not sure if wet weather performance will be a different story though.
Brian yeah the toyos seem to have dried up rapidly and the f1s deal seems to have been bs.
the problemn is ive still got quite a few things to sort on the car b4 id say its ready.
gonna take a trip to the garage 2moro and see if my running lean is sorted, if it aint then i dont wanna run.
Mike i appreciate that mate, i know this has been arranged for a while and am not trying to fcuk folk about here i just though if we postponed it would give me a chance to sort me probs, jonny his big ends, Martin toime to run in and dunc time to put jonnys turbo on.

No problems, Kev. Even if I'm the only car on the track I'm going - I want to see what my car can do!
With you our Scottish area rep and all, why not come up with a few ideas of things we can do say over the next year? Knockhill sounds OK. Crail late Autumn is good because we can get lots of runs. Another RR meet? And what about hiring an airfield which someone mentioned a month or two back? Or perhaps a swap-meet picnic with those Scotch eggs and pretty napkins (I'll bring the wine)...
ERRRRR im still running really lean. dunno wat to do.
Mike im possibly up for a promotion in work and if so then ill be looking to sort out more of that kind of thing.
thing is just now im major skint so dont wanna say hey come to this meet, rr etc when i cant actually make it due to lack of funds.
Btw michael from jap performance in irvine pm'd me to say that their rr is available for £300 for the day, well he said £20 pp for 15 peeps and £15pp for 20 peeps.

Anyways folks, have a crackin' good time, wish I could be there.
Jonny

I'll be there for 5 but I think that I'll go the Kincardine bridge route!
I'll be going, slowly that is! Kev why don't you just turn the boost right down or use low revs? Better than wasting £50!!!
Dunc.
i am going dunc!
Ill see u there.
Im gonna go the kincardine route cos 1. its shorter and 2. Martin knows where he is going.
U wanna meet us going onto the kincardine bridge Brian?
Martin will pick up Jonny.
Gee u wanna hook up with me?
Nope gotta stick to the forth bridge this time, see other thread.
Kev, yeah where will I meet you?
What time should we leave?

See you there - I'll be in the maroon 24v Senator. Kev, i may leave the wheel for Mike with you if I need to go before he's finished on track if that's OK?
Cheers,
Mark

Sounds good to me - really enjoyed myself :)
Think Jonny enjoyed the ride too until I gave him a Scare! Sorry Jonny. I'm quite hypothetical about having wee offs tho - it's the only way too really learn the limits :)

...you kidding mate, that was the best bit :D !!!! Did soil myself slightly tho', you might want to clean your passenger seat :p .
It was a great day and tbh I'm glad I got to experience it from the passenger seat first.
Thanks to Kenny, Kev and Brian for taking me round the circuit and, of course, to Martin for coming 12 miles out of his way to pick me up/drop me off :notworthy .
Lookin forward to August 12th now :) .
J
Glad you all had a goot time lads :) I'll be looking at coming to the next one :D
...very scary to start with, not knowing what to do. Also hilly, so some bends were blind which was fun (!) for the first couple of laps. My car held up fine but the 280mm 12 groove brembo/pagid fronts plus dot 5.1 didnt last more than 5 laps before needing a rest, so couldnt quite push to the limits. Knockhill were very organised and driving was generally well mannered. Certainly value for money at £50! Thanks to Martin and Jonny for doing some videoing. Thanks to Mark and Kev for my new drifting wheels!
Kev, are you going to start a new thread for 12/8?
Aye, my brakes were similar - I'm running OE Toyota stuff with 5.1 fluid. They seemed to fade a little and then I'd get the feeling of warped discs through the pedal and not a great deal of stopping force. After a little rest it was business as usual though, and today they are perfectly normal so no apparent damage done.
My tyres did take a bit of a licking with my on-the-edge cornering - especially the nearside outside edge cos of all the right handers
I totally wasted a brand new set of Redstuff pads after last nights shenanigans:D
Everytime I came back into the pits my front wheels were smoking and after my last run my Black Diamond combi discs were glowing red hot:eek:
BTW Kev, i got some footage of your brakes doing an impression of a smoke machine:notworthy
I really enjoyed myself last night and have to admit that it was scary being my first time on track, but you get more confidence the longer you go on.
Was that Ferrari not something else
have to say a huuuuuge thanks to Mike for sorting it all out mate, was a really good night.
And as for his driving :notworthy :notworthy
Mike, u da man:thumbs: :D :D
Hopefully get stuff sorted out for the next one, all of us really i think.
As most of u know it was my oil that let me down (or some twat not filling it up), but my 1144's were really pretty fookin great.
Any of u guys coming to the racewars day on sat with ssr?
Me and Martin are.
Jonny, u fancy getting some more footage matey?
it was pretty scarey but a major adrenalin rush also as a first timer.
But was not chuffed with the pug 405, the black and white evo and a scooby who all made really suspect manouvers around me right b4 or in the middle of a corner, was pretty unnerving ill say!
Aye, Ferrari was ace - at least the owner was using it properly!
:tosser: Award of the evening goes to the blue scooby 22B driver - the eejit jumped up my inside just as I was turning in to the corner (forcing me to take avoiding action) at the end of the start / finish straight. My bro got it on camera too, with me uttering some choice words lol.
Bad boy award goes to that blue Pug 405 Ti-16 for practically driving into Kev at the start of the start / finish straight  - I saw that whilst dialling in the opposite lock coming onto the straight Kev lol
sounds like the scooby did what the evo did to me, think jonny was in the car at the time, was dam glad i checked my wing mirror b4 turning in

I feel an ambush here ...
Don't tarnish all us scobby drivers with the same 'mental driving' brush some of us a nice people you know
And Mike, get the brakes done for the next one and see if you can earn a scooby trackday scalp :) :) :)
