Sorry, not the most exiting project! but the 200 has taken a bit of a back seat this year so i've spent too much on the Altea, and well wanted to document it :D

Bought last January standard with 25k on the clock, its a 2.0tdi sport!

Heres the first pic of the car taken!

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=64903&stc=1&d=1255885478

First step was to clean up the wheels and paint the chassis and calipers etc! Also fitted mudflaps.

With everything clean and shiny,it showed up the arch gaps too much! so i lowered it with the help of Jim S14 :notworthy:

4 by 4

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=64893&stc=1&d=1255884553

And lowered

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=64894&stc=1&d=1255884553

Then i fitted an induction kit!and cleaned the bay.

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=64895&stc=1&d=1255884553

Next converted some Audi A3 tailpipes to fit (Not a close photo sorry!)

Next i bought some Scabby alloys off Mercedesx off here
And spent about 3 hours on each refurbing them!

Before!

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=64898&stc=1&d=1255884973

After refurb and on the car!

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=64908&stc=1&d=1255885786

Hopefully next year i'll be able to afford the sideskirts and front lip seen on this one! and possibly a roof spoiler! (Different to the one shown though :hurl:)

Power was sorted by having a Revo Remap, which should see it around 180bhp and 300 lb ft of torque!
This will be confirmed a week today when it goes on the rollers! :)

Thanks for looking! Not the most exciting project! but its been challenging! :D

Is this like other TDs where you get a chunk of torque at about 2.5k to about 3.5k then it dies off, or does it keeping pulling for a wider rev range?

Looking really smart now it's been subjected to the PDH cleaning efforts :D Please get in touch about some wheels if you come to change again... I have some cunning plans in mind :D

Its most of the VAG diesel engines.. Do so many skoda/vw taxis at work £800 for a new fly/clutch combination.

Or you can ditch the DM and put a standard flywheel on and use a basic clutch setup....What all the taxi drivers do.

Thanks, really appreciate all the kind comments! Not much planned really, may get a miltec egr bypass pipe which allows a stage 2 remap, around 210bhp and 350 torques! (but would also need an uprated clutch )
would like the matching sideskirts to go with the front lip,but they have gone over £300 new before painting  so we''ll see what comes up!
Need to get back into the 200,pretty much had a year off from it apart from doing the basics! :)

Brilliant thread mate, bit of a noob so only just read through, really really good progress and a very smart looking car! I used to have an Octavia vRS TDi - the 170ps VAG lump was clever enough in standard form, I can only imagine that your Seat goes very well indeed with 20ps more than that and all that torque! Awesome looking daily

Next i bought some Scabby alloys and spent about 3 hours on each refurbing them!

Before!

Also,if anyone know of anyone after some cheap alloys for thier VW/Audi/Seat etc the ones above are up for grabs! They are 8 by 18 with 35m offset and are not as mint as the photos show, and won't come with tyres, well they can do if collected but they are all borderline illegal!
Will sort a proper for sale thread out soon, but if anyone wants them i'm after £150 + any delivery costs!
