Deathstar, spending that on your parents, do they spend even more on you? As my parents get me things normally worth 5 times what I spend on them (but that's mainly as I'm tight!)

I've always liked the MR2. Bit small for my tastes (I prefer a car with a boot) but they're a very decent drive. Nice one Deathstar

"You definitely have to watch the back end in fast bends. As soon as the (very very limited) initial understeer appears and provided you *gently* lift off/accelerate be prepared to catch the back end. Very snappy, but very rewarding driving experience!"

hell shes got Jaguar Xjr's and Dolomite Sprints opel mantas sideways i think she can handel it :D

thinking about it my mum has only once had a Frount wheel drive car (mini)

my mums mental :| :D

Deathstar, how fab are you? Terrific looking car. My Sis has one. I drove it last weekend...very much a drivers car...a whole lot of fun compared to my Civic. And no scrabble comments please...I absolutely cannot have a RWD vehicle where I live...I either wouldn't be able to drive it for 9 months of the year or I'd end up killing myself  Apparently, according to the guy who taught me on my track day at Croft last year "I need to develop a healthier understanding of danger"...oooh that was a fun day.:D

Where do you live, in the middle of a corn field? If you can drive an S14 throughout the year in Finland, you damn sure can drive it throughout the year anywhere in GB... :)

Was sure it was gonna be an MX5.....
I had an MR2 for 3 years before my 200, can't really class it as a hairdressers car IMO, much too much fun:D

Well said that man - its gets a bit cold in finland sometimes eh?? ;) :p
Seriously, how do you manage?? First sign of a snowy hill and my S13 starts sliding backwards ...........
Oh what fun we had with a 328 bimmer and a crazy S13 figure skating backwards down a hill both with the rear wheels spinning ..................

Keywords: "A bit", "Sometimes". ;)

Well, actually driving in the wintertime over here is a bit different than what people might think. We have pretty good maintenance on the roads, so yes, they might get icy, but they damn sure don't stay icy with half a meter of snow on them for long. In addition to that they sand or salt the roads, too. And to top all that, we have really good studded winter tyres. Probably getting used to it for months every year also helps a bit, and thus, you automatically are a bit more careful when driving in winter. I never crashed a car during winter (if you don't count driving my old Sierra to a ditch when I was playing with it when cornering.. Didn't bend anything, so I think it doesn't count), but I've crashed twice during summertime. :D
