Oi! :p Corroded brake pipes was the worst of it. Also brake lights not working, no washer jets (forgot I had the fibreglass vented jobby on - lucky I still have the std!), excessive play in both front suspension arm ball joints, headlight aim too low, & excessive movement in the NSF strut! Last jobs being sorted today hopefully. I think the brake pipes are gonna be a PITA - axle & fuel tank down possibly. :(

Ha ha. Ross mate you seem to be getting picked on in this thread :D

The rear brake lines shouldn't be too hard. I was having a look at mine just before my mot an I am sure you could replace them without dropping the subframe and definately without touching the tank:nod:

The ball joints will be the hardest part but even they aren't to bad with the right tools:)

Thanks for the sympathy, Chris! With Mikey's lack of grammar and punctuation in his sentences, I couldn't say for sure whether I was getting dissed or not.lol. :p

The work was being done by my mechanic, not me; I'm too busy with work at the mo. :smash:

The lines are not that expensive mate:no: It's the labour that will go with fitting them, bleeding the brakes etc:nod:

Ross S14

All jobs done. New copper brake pipes fitted (cost £10), didn't need to drop the axle or fuel tank in the end. The front to rear one snapped in 2 as it was removed so yeah, pretty corroded. Ball joints sorted pretty quickly as well. Ride height up 2" at the front now, Apex Gen2's adjusted and all looking good for Monday's MOT re-test. :) Might even get around to going down to Alan Jeffreys for the power map before she goes off the road for the winter, seeing as I've got my heat wrap sorted.

We'll definitely meet up for a Christmas meal - ought to start enquiries now really. Beefeater sounds good to me. I can make some calls around Plymouth eateries & organise it if people are happy with that being the area venue?
