View Full Version : Do you need to book a tent pitch?
Hey.
Is it necessary to book a tent pitch at Billing or is it a free for all...allocated on arrival type thang?
Ta muchly.
Sandy
No need to book, just pitch it where you park it :)

Cheers Stuy...that'll be me pitched where Si T parks it then (ooo'er) :D
My usual is - pitch tent then sleep in car with engine running and heaters on
So if you pitch where you park, does the tent go over or under the car? ;) :D

You wuss (lol) and you a Northerner..I'm very disappointed.
Anyhoo, I was kinda banking on it being positively tropical down South in July. It better be, Si T will be most upset if he doesn't get a swim in that there lake. ;)
If you fall asleep drunk in a tent in Scotland you'll wake up with blue lips and no toes, if, that is, you wake up at all.........
It'll be too hot for any Scot's going, we'll be forced to strip down to our bare chests and kilts to reveal our reflective white bodies which will in turn be lobster red the next day   :D

I was just goin' to check out what all the fuss is about with these 2hundies but now that we're talking scantily clad Scotsmen.
"Reflective white bodies" Errrrrm, now how can I put this diplomatically? Just a friendly suggestion Dunc but if there's a Tanning Shop nearby, use it (lol)

Not an issue, simply do what I do - namely get obscenely drunk, and sleep where you pass out. Presto, no need to bugger about with tricky tents :D

:D :D I slept ON my tent at a knockhill weekend, apparently the act of undoing a zip was too much for me that night!
Funny how there's certain types of zips and fastners that I can manage though ;) ;)

/makes mental note to pitch my tent as far away from Vez as possible, and not to allow Vez in assisting with the tent pitching ;) :D

Looks like someone else is into this :D :D
So basically all I need for the weekend is a 200sx (sorted) and a cool box full of goodies (also sorted). Excellent. Me likes to travel light.
But oooops! I promised Si T that I'd behave myself (i.e no taking part in the wet t-shirt competition) and that as night fell I would most definitely remain zipped in my sleeping bag made for one. Oh what the hey, I'm sure he'll forgive me in time. ;)
So thats two confirmed for the wet t-shirt competition :D
And before anyone asks, im hosing them down ;)

Whoa! Not so fast there! I'm pretty certain that Feisty Red Head had her doubts as to whether you and your hose are up to the job Vez and I, being a newbie 'n all, am very much taking her lead on this one :D ;)

You mean Scottish people are like... smurfs..??! :D ;)
:D Yeah basically, but with ginger hair!!!!
And in regards to a wet T-shirt comp, fair's fair - maybe the blokes should arrange a "Wet Y-Front" competition just to even things out!  :(

Yeah but you've only suggested that cos you know you'll be dispensing with the Y-fronts (Y-fronts??!!) and going with the "bare chested kilt wearing" look. Hey, armed with a super soaker I'm pretty certain that I could have an impact on a kilt ya know...you won't necessarily be safe Smurf-Dunky
:D
Save the debate - why not all just go skinny dipping in the lake ;) :D :D
Your right, hose isnt up to it, Supersoaker is though, but will it fit in the car? ;) :D

Right behind ya there Stuy. Of course it's only good etiquette that the Mods go first :notworthy followed shortly thereafter by the North West Club Rep :D

Nah, my car's a shed and I talk like a yob. Its my keen fashion sense (sweaty string vest and skiddy Y's) that draws the lady's to me. ;)

Which, for Scotland, is considered high-class eveningwear :p

All very interesting, really.
But Dunc ur being extremely optomistic that ur car will actually make it all the way down, or are u still trying to cadge a lift from one of us boys?
Nathan there is indeed a striking resemblance there:eek:  ;)
