View Full Version : ECU re-syncing

Hi guys,

A bit of a cheeky ask really, I've just finished installing all of the stuff needed for a H-Dev stage 2a chip. I've just sourced an ECU that already has a chip installed (I want to keep my original un-molested).

Now for the ask, I've been told by a REALLY unhelpful Nissan dealer, that I would need to get the car, ECU and keys to them to re-sync the ECU (this is pretty much impossible as the car isn't running because (from what I can tell) the air/fuel ratios are all over the place due to injectors/afm). I have heard things which suggest that you can re-sync using consult?!?!

If this is correct, is there someone in the area that could give it a go for me? Obviously there would be cash/beer tokens/love for anyone that could help me out!

Cheers,
Jack

You do indeed need to get the car and keys to somebody that can re-sync them for you :)

I dont know where Jez stands on selling the software to non-members, but I would imagine it'll be ok... You need a laptop, a consult cable and the software Jez has written.

I have the gear to do it, but am not really local at all :(

Hmmm, bit of a bugger then... for it to be done with the software that Jez has, does the car need to be there as well?

Is there anybody else with the skills/tools to do the job in the Bristol area?

Jez can sell the cable / software, you just have to pay for it :)

Hmm, I'll give him a quick bell then, see what he can do...

Now have a consult lead and Jez's software on the way! Should be sorted for this now!
