Billing DVD

Steve Carter and myself were mulling over the idea of doing a club DVD. Do features on peoples cars; incar footage, action shots etc, possibly even interviews with the driver.

Depending on what we plan to do I would hire a decent camera and car mounts.

We thought about doing this at Billing seeing as this is when most of the club would be together.

What do people think? I'd sell the discs for about 12 quid and would expect about an hours worth of footage on em....

Any ideas you'd like to express?

It sounds really good. If the weather is good (as usual) then the quality of video with all the sunshine would be excellent. And there are soooo many things to record at billing!

We were thinking about footage of the whole show from the 2 days (maybe a 200SX section and 'rest of show' section, drunken footage from the evenings, and if people are willing get a load of 200s (and maybe other jap cars) out on the dual carriageway and country roads for a bit of razzing around. I think we would possibly need 2 or 3 people willing to take the footage so we can have in-car stuff, and different positions for the out of car footage.

This could be bloody great.:)

One of my ideas was a huge burnout...

I have a set of tyres i'm about to replace, I know Jackal has some he's taking off soon.

If we could find somewhere legal and safe where we could line up 200's and have a en mass burn out.

I have pretty good control and can keep the car very still whilst ripping rubber, plus we could use a clever camera angle to make it look like the cars were side by side yet had plenty of space between them...

Forgot to post this a while ago but can i STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST ****ing around on the dual carriageway around Billing specifically for videoing purposes.

Reason being Billing has been free of cops and shit because its been a chilled out non saxo festerng event. If people start to push the boundaries we will get hit HARD and Billing wont know whats hit it. one person fecks around for videoing the police will be everywhere within minutes, the event will be blackmarked every year, organisers will get pressure and arsey with it, costs of entry will go up etc etc...so what im saying is FFS no one push their luck, lets keep Billing as good as it is without ****ing it up, you dont know what you have got until you miss it:thumbs:

I agree with this completely, infact i'd rather do it officially at say a 200sx track day :)

How about drift footage inside and out(like when the passenger has his feet out the window and is actually crapping himself)?Maybe get some good 'effort faces' from the drifters?With a bit of editing, you could have an in-screen driver-action's screen-thing(if you get what I'm saying...).Kind of like the Jap vids.Could be extended to other track days as well, I guess.Would be well worth £12 with some good drivers...

I was thinking recently of making an MPEG of the rolling road day and the top speed run DVD I made... anyone able to host about 300mb of video? Would be OLD SKOOL SXOC stuff :) It even has some SXOC CGI intro! :D
