Help! pc gone into safe mode

does it say safe mode in all four corners? which OS are you using?

hmmm... if I remember rightly ... when you get the black screen with "loading windows" tap F8 to get the boot options. et viola...

win 98, will try above, doesn't say safe mode in the corners as usual though.

is the resolution just low? what else makes you think its in safe mode?

Sounds like either the displays been changed to 640x480 16 colours, or the graphics drivers have been removed/knackered. Right click the decktop, go to properties, then the settings tab and change the resolution slider, then hit apply. Then try changing the number of colours in the drop down list and press apply again.

Cheers guys, somehow the resolution got screwed up fooling me into thinking it was in safe mode.
