You guys are more than welcome to join us on our dyno day. As you know the more people we have the cheaper!!

The RR will be held at Circuit Motors on the 26th Of September

At the moment its £40 but it includes a few tests!

Air to Fuel Ratio
Boost pressure
2 runs back to back
Power at Fly
Power at Wheels
Amount of torque

** If your car is an Automatic, unfortunately we can only measure power against road speed. This will also be power at flywheel and wheels, but it is pretty impossible to measure torque accurately with an automatic car with a torque converter.

1) Darryl (300zx)
2) Old Zed (300zx)
3) Ep1ccenter (S14a)
4) Madmarco (300zx)

So Luis' going is he?!!! (Can't remember if I've ever seen his on the rollers!)

Cheers for posting that up. Not sure if I'll run, I'd like to. Haven't had a power run since it was detuned!! Should still be around the 300 mark.

Either way I'll certainly be in attendance.

Thanks.

In fact I will definitely be there. That is the same day we had ours last year and it coincides with the MiniWorld Action Day, next door at Combe Circuit.

So yes I'll be getting myself some track tickets for the non mini track sessions!! (Like last year!)

Anyone else want to join me on track!:smash:

I do however have work on that day so how I'm going to fit it all in I don't know. - Hopefully I can get the work done in the morning. Assuming I start at a silly early time.

Entrance on the day! Not sure. Yes the event does cost around £10 entrance. However there has normally been an unwritten rule that if you go to Combe after 1500h it is generally free admittance.

Also you can walk through from Circuit motors straight into Combe Paddock.;)

Sorry only just seen your post.

Sound check is 100db at half a meter from your exhaust. If you fail you won't get on unless you can baffle it somehow.

I don't know what time I'll be getting there due to work, I'll probably park up at Circuit motors with the 300ZX crew and stroll over to the Strawford Centre to get a track pass.

They'll probably issue something in the non mini's slot at the end of the afternoon.

I think the cost is £35. And £5 for helmet hire if you need.

Bad news guys...... Got this Email Earier....

Hi Matt,

I have held off untill now before contacting you but
unfortunately it looks like we have to cancel the dyno day schedualled for this Saturday. The reason being is that Dastek are here overhauling our dyno at the moment and have run into a few problems. Although it looks like it maybe finished late Friday evening, I would much rather test the dyno properly before running a dyno day, where power figures are all so important.

I understand that with the event being moved already is going to upset a few people and some may not want to bother attending the dyno day atall, but as it is us which has had to cancel the day this time even though it isn't due to us, if you rebook, we will further discount the price for you.

We have been waiting a long for Performance HQ (Ex Dastek UK and our dyno supplier) to come and put right things which have problematic on the dyno. They have been down since Tuesday eve and promised it will all be ready for me by Friday afternoon.... But looking at the dyno right now, it isn't going to be ready.

Please accept my appologies and hopefully not too much negative will come out of this with the offer of a further reduction in the dyno day price.

Kindest Regards,

Paul.
Circuit Motors.

Ah!! That's a good plan. He reckons he owes me a free power run anyway as we didn't do a final power run after I had the car remapped.

Only the one at the beginning and one when everything was push up (boost, timing etc) and I scored 342bhp!!!!

I've spoken to Paul before and the rollers are normally charged at £70p/h so all depends on how long you're on there.
I really want to know what mine's making now, but won't be able to afford £30+

jon200
16-10-2009, 18:43
£70/hr isn't too bad. I'd like to get a few runs in and maybe try adjusting the timing a little for more powers.
