If you can't win against them, buy them

FFS :wack:

Might not be a bad thing to be honest. If they have a 40% share in brawn also that would help to secure the team and help to keep them competitive:nod:

Only downside is that they might try and ditch mclaren allthough I doubt that.

they would probably ditch force India before Mcclaren

But at the end of the day, they arnt controlling the races, they dont own the teams, they dont decide race strategies, they are just an engine supplier that want their name on cars

Go Mercedes, nice to see a company putting more into the sport when the likes of Honda and BMW are pulling out

It's got to be a good thing for Brawn. It'd be nice to see them thriving with some good sponsorship packages and financial suppost from Merc

Hear hear! I reckon they will be doing engine/gearbox and KERS package deals before long.

Except that they've all agreed not to use KERS anymore after this season.

This is F1 .... believe nothing until it actually happens ....... and then dont beleive it happened until after the lawyers decided if it happened or not ..... and then wait a few more weeks before believing it incase they change there mind.

If no one is using KERS by the 4th qtr of 2010 ... then I think you might be safe in believing that no one is going to use it

I haven't seen any announcement of that - the BBC commentary team seem to have assumed that is the case but since when have all the teams ever agreed on anything?

True it's the FOTA teams that have agreed not to use it though.
