Try www.freecycle.org I think it is. I just got some car ramps and I have seen fridges go in Manchester etc :)

I was also gonna suggest Freecycle. I've got and got rid of a few good bits on there. Got a large fishtanks with all the bits. He even gave me a smaller tank as he wanted to get rid of it ASAP.

You might get 2 fridges :D
