View Full Version : Unit to rent Wanted!!! or help finding one!!!
Hello,
Me and 2 other mates (maybe more) want to start our own project cars. (All for drifting)
So we need a 4+ car garage (so we have space to work around each car) with electric and pref alittle water... in the bristol area
i dont really know where to look as its not an easy thing to search for, ive tried abit of gumtree and trade it but not much is about...

why weren't you after one 6 months ago :(
there were loads about that I was looking about but I couldn't afford to get them on my own :annoyed:
they were all on gumtree, think you'll just need to keep an eye out to be honest, I've had to settle for a 2 car garage but that still took me a year to find :rolleyes:
shoulda made a post bud!!! its been on my mind for a while but i wasn't gonna do it till my MOT ran out (nov i need it by!!!)
If anyone else wants to join in and get a bigger place + pay their share then thats more then fine!

i have a had a couple of threads up asking, although might of been last year when i actually put it up, can't quite rememeber :rolleyes:

I have a friend with a couple of barns on a farm above Chipping Sodbury - He's looking to rent them out but it would be at Business rates so you'd need a few folk to afford it :)
Both barns have power, not sure on water.
The big barn will easily fit 4 cars but may not suit you as it's on 2 levels so will need a ramp concreted in. Also You'll probably want to do something about the doors as they're currently see through (big feck off metal ones - middle section is wire mesh though)
If you're interested I can ask if he's still trying to rent them and swap numbers about :thumbs:
What exactly is business rates? I been seeing rates that massivly vary for commercial type property. Could be interested but requiring to put ramps in is no good, this is purely for personal projects and all money must go on them :)

Alex,there's a place at Latteridge on the Winterbourne to Yate road that has units,a company I used to work for had a unit up there for storage,plenty big enough,electric & water.I'll try & get a number for you today.

I just mean the back of the barn is slightly higher than the front so he'll have to build a ramp across the division :)

Went up there today but the guy who owns the land is on holiday.I spoke to a chap who rents up there & there is a small 2 car unit with electric,no water.Also a 4/5 car unit with hard standing with water,electric & even a bog coming up for rent soon.Am unsure of rent but I was told in the £350-£400 for the bigger unit.It's very secure as is off the beaten track & all fenced in.

there is a unit to let in silverthorne lane, i have spoken to a garage next door and he pays around 600pound a month but can get six cars in quite easily without a struggle. the only thing is dont tell the landlord that you will be working on the cars just say your storing, has full roller shutter door on the front with big iron bar going across the front.

think we're still good on that one, it's just the logistic's of getting everyone together at the same time which is proving to be the problem :annoyed:

is that cos we all need to sign the contract? thinking a few of us could just "take it on" to get things moving/sorted can always re-sign contracts at a later date if needed

I think I sold this guy a bonnet a while back,he lives up behind the unit we were looking at renting from Dyke if I'm correct.I'd be interested in a look too!!
Not sure if im looking now. Cars a bit naked and im skint. Shame cus if was already had one it would have been much easier for me!
