whats in the AE86's then? is it a rotary jobbly? cuz i saw a video of an AE86 amd and when looking under bonnet on subtitles it had 3 rotor. now i know you can geta 3rd rotor conversion for the RX7 3rd gen?:confused:

The video you saw, has an AE86 with a 3 Rotor Cosmo 20B engine in it.. 600ps. Normal AE86's came with the 4AGE 1.6 16v NA engine (100-130ps depending on location), that one was seriously modified (hence being LHD to fit the engine in!)..

RX7's never came with Triple rotor, but you could always swap the engine for the Cosmo one..

Is the 3 rotor cosmo engine more easily tunable than the regular RX7 engine then?

Thats the right Cosmo, though that one looks like it just has the 2 rotor engine. They dont all have the 3 rotor one in them.

I wouldnt say it was more tunable once its there, but you just add more potential by having 3 rotors. Think of adding an extra couple of pistons and having an SR30DET for example. Thats basically whats been done but using rotary bits.
