What software do you use to watch video formats such as:

.avi
.wmv
.mpeg

etc...

Is it possible to download 1 piece of software that would be able to play all formats?

Otherwise what software would I need?

Cheers,

Tim

Sasami2k is a nice little rival to WMP, believe it does all those types :)

Codecs (abbrev. from Coder / Decoder) are little pieces of program code which tell the player how to decode the file properly so the playback looks correct to the viewer:thumbs:

If you use Media Player, you can download a update patch which should contain the latest codecs.

Until I got a soooper fast PC (well, relative to my old 233Mhz P2) I always stuck with Media Player 6.4 - it's far faster and slicker than the subsequent Media Players, and doesn't have any of that skinning crap you don't need.

For watching DivXs that were just on the borderline of too hard for my old PC to play, I sometimes found that 'The Playa' was quicker - this's a free player app that comes with some DivX codecs.

I find RealOnePlayer gives best quality image

Get the NimoLite Codec pack from here ... http://nimo.titanesk.com/modules/freecontent/index.php?id=2

Get build 8 :)

Pretty much all codecs you'll need :)
