UPDATE on my 14A

Right then everyone , Engineer as been out and has viewed the car and said its a very clean example and has been looked after :)

I am awaiting a response from the engineer to see what the out come is, its happning all very quickly because i am going through a accident company and they are fowarding the costs on to the other party.as they have admitted liability.

So hope fully i should know more early part of next week. The guys at the bodyshop advised the car is my pride and joy and they said the engineer was very shocked to how well the car looked for its age and condition.

I just want MY car or a car which is RWD back on the road , hate waiting

Spend as long as you want checking the car over and only when you are 100% happy with it sign.

I have had silly things that have been sorted after the fact but if they want to be arsey they can refuse any comebacks after you have signed :nod:

I've spoken to ross about the guy who's doing the spraying,and he sounds the biz!

Good news mate but if its a contract repair make sure you do go over everything because if they do find more damage when striped they do not have to do anything other than whats already been estimated for so there may be things that they don't repair/ change.

Is there any way you can get a normal repair? if you get contract repair then like i said if more damage is found then the repairer wont touch it as they wont get paid for it and you will get it back like that with nothing you can do about it.

I have had a funny few weeks with the insurance dicking me about and have had a lot to say to them.

Hit the roof with them yesterday:rant: and seem to be making more progress :thumbs:

We have liability admitted ( finally:)) like that should be a issue

And have been told i will be having a chq in the next few days :nod:

I will also be removing the car tommorow with a jeep and trailer and it will be on its way to a body shop .:nod:

I cant wait to get the car back and finally meet up with you guys

Fair play guys , you have all been offering to help its all apreciated , and might have to take some of you up on the offers.

I am very happy , because the car as gone to the body shop today and work will start asap, i need to get a front end ??? if any one knows of any locally please let me know .

The wings on the car actually ok , i have thought about the above but i keep thinking if i had all that stuff on the car , it would have been a gonner :cry:

Slam panel and bonnet catch

Headlamps with brackets in tact

aluminium rad ( think thats sorted )

Bumper ( think i know of one )

And all the bits behind the bumper ( ie support bar etc )

fmic ( think i have one but not straight away )

Bits i would consider

Carbon bonnet , vented wings
