Camcorders

After taking some very blurry pics of track action at Japfest i think its time for a camcorder. Question is i have been looking at the Digital8 ones and was wondering if you can download them on a PC or is it still on a tape?

Or am i better off with a digital one?

As long as the camera has digital out you can put it onto pc. mine uses a firewire/1394 cable.

does'nt even need a digi out, u can do it with SVHS, but Mini DVcams are much better quality, and easier to use (once setup correctly)

Thanks guys, if going the digital route will i have to get a firewire port or can you use the USB2 port ????

nope u need firewire, u can either spend £600 on a Pinnicle DV500, or u can get a simple IEEE 1394 card for about £20 ;) comes with the cable aswell :)
