Just come back from the bodyshop. Amazed, but not really supprised, at the rust found. Fixable at a cost, but the suggestion was to obtain another shell in better condition. It will be fixed - the existing shell, that is - at a "nice" cost. Possibly to show condition. Oh well, 'tis only money.
Get some pics up mate.
Cheers Aj

Thanks everyone. You pay someone to sort out the sills only to find out a couple of years later that instead of metal, they did an extremely skillful job using bodyfiller. :annoyed:
The areas needing work are the front suspension turrets, the front chassis rails, front floor where the rails meet the floor, rear wheel arches and several holes in the rear legs. The usual area of the front cross member is fine. Strange.
Then comes the respray and custom work at the rear.
Still, as I said earlier " 'tis only money" so not much will be left of my pension lump sum payments.:smash:
Nightmare situation! Glad your persisting with it though :notworthy :sxoc:
