View Full Version : German Grand Prix Nurburgring
What are peoples predictions/thoughts for the race this weekend ?
Could be very interesting if Lewis Hamilton can keep up yesterdays practice pace although my money's still on Sebastian Vettel didn't seem like he was pushing to the limit yesterday when you look at the footage of the final chicane where they overlaid the video of the two drivers Hamilton was so much faster didn't seem like Vettel was trying hard through there and iirc he was 3 or 4 tenths slower through the final sector.
Also what are people's thoughts on Herr Mosley's latest shenanigans telling the teams that they weren't allowed any input into the discussions about the rules as they hadn't entered the 2010 championship ?

I thought Vettel retired an hour into the session with an electrical problem?
I'd assume either they were doing race laps with fuel or the colder weather has affected their car like it did brawn last race with tyre temperatures.

He only lost time in the first of Fridays sessions.
I think the Brawns are affected by the cold temps again as there's a chance of rain.
1 minute to go in final practice and Hamilton quickest again
EDIT:- He finished fastest Button 11th Red Bulls 4th and 5th

Webber quickest in Q1 Kubica in 16th less than 1 second behind Q2 about to start and it's raining :D
rain has made this an even better quali session, :D
You know something isn't quite right when Nelson (my dad was good so I must be) Piquet is second never mind ahead of Alonso :D

I do wish that idiot commentating would shut up with his shouting and let Brundle talk a bit more.
He is pretty bad alright don't know why he thinks he has to shout so loudly.

Jenson is the lightest on the grid - that doesn't bode well for the race.
Are Mclaren still running KERS? Hamilton could get infront of Vettel off the start and really spoil his day.
am sure they were mentioning that they still had KERS today during quali
They are running KERS not sure if Ferrari are or not .
Great performance from Adrian Sutil as he's heavier than both Ferraris, I think they struggle in cooler temperatures like Brawn do that was the reason given for Massa being so much quicker on the sunday at Silverstone after he had a poor qualifying.
Don't think Raikkonen likes him much :wack:
Superb drive from Webber :notworthy to have a drive through and still win on merit was incredible Vettel never had a chance.

Got bored of that race, pity it did not rain.
Well done to Webber though
Webber done really well to come back from his 10sec penalty and thought massa did really well considering their lack of pace this season.
Confused about maclaren. They all seemed pleased about hamilton and his new sero package and diffuser but he only qualified one place ahead of kovalinen (sp) who didnt have any of the new kit??
Championship is starting to take shape and getting alittle more interesting.
Cheers Aj

As it happens he got in front of everyone but some Aussie twat burst one of his tyres swerving around... I was NOT impressed, Lewis could have done really well today but we'll never know now

Webber's won at last.. lol :clap:
another boring race, needed a huge downpour near the end to shake things up a bit, was hoping to see rubens take the win but refuelling problems and lack of pace disappointing

Rubins big problem was being stuck behind a dog slow red fiat for a while, loosing 2 seconds a lap for what.... a dozen or so...
That how webber came back, plus the rig nonsense.

Just watched the highlights, Ruebens was pissed. Lol. Poor bugger.
Good on webber though, he had that won from the off. Brawn need to do some work on the aero package now and kick some ass!
Shame about Hammy, think he had a chance to get it all right, but ****ed it up from the first corner IMO.
Ahhh man, it all went wrong for Lewis. Overcooked it by all means but if he hadn't have lost air from the tyre then he'd have rejoined P6 or something. First time he's had a chance this year as well. As if
Go Webber, victorious even with a 10 second penalty lol!

Webber took out his rear tyre in the braking zone to turn one, he couldn't do much about that - guttng after such an electric start. At least his car looks a bit more on the pace now - role on hungery should really suit the Mclaren as well due to lower speed corners - WIN.

Hungary will suit the Brawn as its much hotter, in fact all of the tracks where its cooking will help them as there main issue is getting heat into the front tyres...
